An onsite loss control inspection and risk analysis can provide the insurance carrier with a better understanding of the risks that the insured presents. This is a useful tool for underwriters, either on a pre-bind, mid-term monitoring, or a renewal basis. Our inspection process begins well before the actual onsite review takes place. By conducting a thorough review of the information that is available in CAB and Safer, we can begin to understand and evaluate the issues that are common to the insured. A review of each DOT inspection is completed which provides insight into an insured’s driver fitness, maintenance, and hours of service violations. This comprehensive review forms the basis for what our onsite inspectors will look for in their visit as well as what safety measures that could be put into place to enhance the operational safety of the motor carrier.
